My relationship with my parents is very, very close. My parents told me that I had to take care of myself, wear condoms, protect myself. And that it's nice to have sex, but you must know with whom to do it. I'd say yes, I'll be careful, but I never paid any attention.

We came here in 1984, to find a better life. I was 14, going on 15, and it was tough the first six months. But then I started making friends with the Hispanics. I started lifting weights and I noticed that I was gaining weight and getting muscular, and I liked it.

I saw a girl sitting by the stairs with red hair. I looked at her, she looked at me, we smiled. I asked her if she wanted to go out with me and she accepted and we've been together ever since.
