Doris: The first time I had sex was with my husband. I was a virgin. I was 17, I think he was 15. But he told me he was 19. I didn't know anything about sex. I didn't even know how to kiss. At the Lowell High, they give sex education at the 12th grade, when you're a senior, so we didn't have that yet. I decided to have sex with him, because I loved him. And I didn't want to lose him. I came out pregnant when I was 17. I wasn't that surprised, because he was telling me that he wanted a kid. And I wanted one too. I didn't know about birth control.
